Bachelor programs in Arts, Law, Business & Economics, Hospitality, IT/CS, Engineering, Science, Para-Medical and Healthcare are open to international students at Germany's top-ranked public universities — with no tuition fee.
The catch: non-EU applicants need the equivalent of 13 years of schooling. Since Indian schooling runs 12 years, you'll complete a one-year Studienkolleg (foundation course) in Germany first, then move into the three-year bachelor.
After graduation: current German policy lets international graduates stay on to work in their field, with a clear route toward permanent residency after a few years of employment.
Winter intake: Runs October–March. Applications open around six months ahead and close roughly two months before the term starts.
Summer intake: Runs April–September, on the same six-month application window.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we do a bachelor directly after 12th?
Not at public universities — 13 years of schooling is mandatory. Private colleges do offer direct admission after 12th, but at a much higher tuition fee.
Can we study a bachelor in English at public universities?
Yes, but seats in English-taught programs are limited and competition is high, so admission through this route is harder to secure.
What level of German is required?
German B2 is required for admission to a Studienkolleg at a public university. After completing it, you move into a bachelor program at that university.
What's the duration of the bachelor degree?
One year of Studienkolleg, followed by a three-year bachelor program.
Can we get a job after completing the bachelor degree?
Yes — graduates have strong chances of finding good jobs in Germany after completing their bachelor degree.
How many years' gap is accepted after 12th?
Only a justified gap of 2–3 years is acceptable.
What's the age requirement for bachelor courses?
Applicants should be at least 18 and no older than 23.
